Irish Meat to Switzerland is a growing sector for HANNON Transport

Irish beef is very popular with Swiss consumers.  Switzerland is a small yet high-priced market where Irish food products are positioned at a premium level.  We have seen significant increase in volume of both Full Load (FTL) and Groupage (LTL) consignments of Irish Beef destined for the Swiss market.

Irish Beef is known for its quality.  Low volume / high quality groupage consignments are typically destined for the high-priced market where Irish food products are positioned at a premium level.

We have also seen strong growth in the number of dedicated, full loads for Irish bovine meat exports of (Commodity Group 0201 “Meat of bovine animals, fresh or chilled”) to Switzerland. The Swiss foodservices and food manufacturing sectors are significant end customers.

With the foodservice sectors across Europe opening up throughout last year, 2022 looks set to be another record year for Irish Beef exports to Switzerland.   At HANNON Transport, we have seen both the value and volume of Irish beef consignments direct to Switzerland grow considerably over each quarter in 2022.

We can provide bespoke, dedicated Full Load (FTL) services direct for Ireland to Switzerland.  We also currently offer a regular, temperature-controlled Weekly Groupage Service between Ireland and Switzerland.

We use our own fleet and facilities and also have our own dedicated, in-house Customs Clearance Team.  The ability to provide transport and customs clearance combined is an attractive one-stop-shop option for Irish exporters and Swiss end-customers.
