ISO-Certified Quality at HANNON Poeldijk

ISO-Certified Excellence: Quality & Environmental Performance at HANNON Poeldijk

At HANNON Transport, compliance, quality and environmental responsibility are built into every aspect of our operations. This commitment was reaffirmed once again during our latest audit at HANNON Poeldijk, where an independent NQA auditor completed a full surveillance assessment of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).

The result: another successful audit, confirming that our Poeldijk facility continues to operate to internationally recognised standards for service quality, operational control, environmental performance and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence at Poeldijk

Our Poeldijk logistics hub plays a key role in supporting Ireland–Europe trade flows, handling consolidation, cross-docking and onward distribution for chilled, frozen and ambient consignments. As a fully owned and operated HANNON site, it provides structure, consistency and complete control across all product handling and transfer.

Key capabilities include:

• High-volume cross-docking for temperature-controlled and ambient goods
• Dedicated HANNON personnel managing all warehouse and yard operations
• Integrated European planning for NL–IE / BE–IE / FR–IE groupage and full-load services
• Temperature-controlled zones from -18°C to +15°C
• Full product traceability and operational transparency

These capabilities allow us to maintain the high-frequency services relied on by food producers, importers, manufacturers and distributors across Ireland and mainland Europe.

Audit Highlights

The auditor noted strong performance across several key areas, reflecting the professionalism and operational standards maintained by the Poeldijk team.

Key strengths highlighted in the audit included:

• Effective process controls across cross-docking and temperature management
• Strong staff competence, training and operational awareness
• Proactive environmental management and monitoring
• Well-maintained documentation and traceability systems
• Clear commitment to continual improvement

These results reflect the hard work of our Poeldijk team and the wider HANNON organisation in maintaining consistent, compliant and resilient logistics operations.

Quality, Sustainability & Continuous Improvement

ISO certification is more than a regulatory requirement — it is a foundation for the way we operate. By maintaining certified Quality and Environmental Management Systems, we ensure:

• Consistent service across every customer consignment
• Transparent and accountable processes
• Reduced environmental impact
• Ongoing investment in people, systems and training
• A culture of continuous improvement

This ensures our customers benefit from a logistics partner that is reliable, compliant and committed to long-term performance.
