Building Work Starts at HANNON Dublin Depot
Building work has started to expand our Blakescross Dublin facilities. This significant development at our Dublin depot is part of our ambitious Infrastructure Development Programme.
The development work includes five new loading bays, upgraded office spaces, and modernised facilities designed to enhance every facet of our logistics operations. These new facilities support not only greater cross-docking and consolidation capacity but also improved working environments for our team, reflecting our dedication to operational excellence and employee well-being.
Aodh Hannon (Owner & Managing Director) talks to Simon McKeever, CEO of the Irish Exporters Association (IEA), and Steve Breen, Operations Director of Thyme-IT, about expansion of HANNON Logistics Dublin Administration, Driver Facilities, and Cross-Docking / Consolidation Hub in Lusk, Dublin.
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Simon McKeever, CEO of the Irish Exporters Association (IEA), and Steve Breen, Operations Director of Thyme-IT, to tour our Dublin site and witness the early stages of construction. This visit came on the heels of HANNON’s recent success in being awarded the prestigious IEA Irish Logistics & Supply Chain Company of the Year 2024. This award highlights our commitment to innovation, reliability, and efficiency across our logistics and supply chain services.
During the visit, we discussed our expansion plans with Simon and Steve, sharing how the additional infrastructure will allow us to further enhance our cross-docking and consolidation capacity, vital for our groupage services supporting Irish exporters. Our dedicated and expert team continue to show their dedication to providing excellent logistics solutions that meet the growing demands of the fresh produce, meat, and dairy sectors.
With these upgrades, HANNON Transport is reinforcing its position as a leader in logistics, delivering on our promise of exceptional service and meeting the evolving needs of our customers in Ireland and beyond.
Our visitors were able to see the early work with S&E Contracts Ltd. on a significant development at our Blakescross facility, which includes:
- Warehouse Enhancements: Five additional loading bays to streamline logistics and enhance efficiency.
- Upgraded Office Spaces: Dedicated areas for load planning, driver training, and enhanced employee amenities.
- Modern Facilities: A gym, canteen, shower rooms, and meeting areas, supporting employee well-being and our commitment to operational excellence.
The work is part of our ambitious multi-site infrastructure programme planned for the next 18 months and continuing our long track record of reinvesting to continue to develop our people, equipment, facilities, and systems.
The new facilities and expanded teams that the new offices will house will help support our growth programme investment in our transport hubs, equipment, people and expertise to provide innovative, reliable and scalable temperature controlled logistics solutions.
