Holyhead Port Maintenance: What It Means for HANNON Customers

From 8 September to 3 November 2025, Stena Line Ports will carry out planned maintenance works at Holyhead Port (Terminal 5). This is an important part of keeping the port infrastructure reliable, but it does bring temporary operational changes that may affect some sailings.

At HANNON Transport, our priority is to keep consignments moving smoothly for our customers across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.

What’s Changing at Holyhead Port

  • Both ferry operators will share the Terminal 5 berth during this period.

  • A full timetable will be maintained — no reduction in sailing capacity.

  • Sailing times will follow the temporary timetable introduced earlier this year, following repairs at Terminal 3.

How This Could Affect Services

We believe our West–East services (Ireland ➝ EU) will continue as normal.
However, there may be some potential impact on East–West services (EU ➝ Ireland), where adjustments to delivery schedules could be needed.

What We’re Doing for Customers

To minimise any disruption:

  • We are working directly with Stena Line Ports on behalf of our customers.

  • Our planning teams are reviewing routes and schedules to ensure smooth operations.

  • We will maintain clear and timely communication with customers should changes arise.

What Customers Should Do

If you have East–West shipments (EU ➝ Ireland) scheduled during this maintenance period, we encourage you to contact your usual HANNON representative. This will allow us to:

  • Review your transport arrangements together

  • Identify any potential timing adjustments

  • Ensure consignments continue to flow as smoothly as possible

Our Commitment

While port maintenance is beyond our control, how we respond is not. At HANNON Transport, we are committed to keeping our customers’ supply chains moving efficiently — with proactive planning, open communication, and reliable solutions.

We thank you for your continued support and cooperation as Holyhead Port completes this essential work.
